Description: Terrestrial on steep bank; internodes dark green, semiglossy, soon yellow-brown; cataphylls 8.5 cm long, medium green, semiglossy, marcescent, persisting for a time as short basal pale fibers; petioles subterete, obtusely flattened adaxially with faint medial sulcus, medium green, weakly glossy; blades dark green and matte above, moderately paler and weakly glossy below; midrib bluntly acute and concolorous above, narrowly raised and paler below; primary lateral veins sunken and concolorous above, narrowly raised and concolorous below; tertiary veins mostly obscure; collective veins from base or from lowermost primary lateral veins; inflorescences erect; peduncles 7.3 cm long, 2-5 mm diam., medium green, semiglossy; spathe medium green, semiglossy outside, matte inside, 5.7 cm long, 1.2 cm diam., reflexed; spadix dark purple-violet, slightly stipitate (ca. 1.5 mm ).
