Terrestrial; internodes moderately short to 3.5 cm long, 4.7 cm diam.; cataphylls to 20 cm long, persisting as a network of brown fibers; petioles 101-153 cm long, 1.0 cm diam., medium green, semiglossy, subterete at apex, narrowly and obtusely sulcate, becoming slightly flattened with medial sulcus toward middle, at least one side with several acute, fine ribs toward base; blades 76 x 44 cm, broadly concave on anterior lobe, subcoriaceous, dark green and semiglossy above, paler and weakly glossy below; midrib acute and tinged reddish, paler above, round-raised and paler below; primary lateral veins sunken and concolorous above, narrowly raised and bluntly acute, paler below; tertiary veins moderately prominent below; collective veins from lowermost basal veins; inflorescence spreading-pendent; spathe medium-dark green, hooding, 23 cm long, 5.8 cm wide; spadix stipitate 4-5 mm, faintly purplish, matte, 17.6-18.6 cm long, narrowly cylindroid, tapered.
