Shoots to 4 m, Musa-like; leaves green. Inflorescence pendent, to 33 cm; bracts distichous, yellow green and sparsely puberulous; rachis yellow and sparsely puberulous. Flowers: perianth yellow; ovary and pedicel pale yellow.
