Terrestrial; internodes short, light brown, matte; cataphylls 33 cm long, 1 cm diam., medium green, persisting as pale brown fibers with large fragments of epidermis; petioles 65 cm long, sharply C-shaped, flattened adaxially with margins acute, raised and two medial prominent ribs and with 1 or 2 sharp ribs on either side, rounded abaxially, dark green, matte; blades subcoriaceous, dark green and moderately glossy above, moderately paler and weakly glossy below; midrib acute and slightly paler above, round-raised and paler below; primary lateral veins deeply quilted-sunken above, narrowly raised and slightly paler below; tertiary veins in part raised below; collective veins from 6th pair of basal veins; inflorescences erect-spreading; peduncle 34 cm x 4.5 mm; spathe reflexed-spreading, 16.5-30.5 cm x 2.5-3.8 cm wide, semiglossy, margins rolled tightly under; spadix sessile, 19.2 -25(30) x 1.2-1.4 cm wide, blue-green, glaucous, matte.
